COMPANION CARE
Companion care is a method of home care that offers non-medical services to seniors or people with disabilities to make independent living more maintainable. Companion care differs from personal care. Although both cares may offer some of the same services, the primary purpose of companion care is emotional support and socialization.
How Companion Care Works
Companions typically make regular home visits, which can change depending on your loved one's needs. Generally, companions visit at a minimum weekly, while some may visit more often or even daily to assist with light tasks such as meal prep, laundry, or medication reminders. If a senior or individual with disabilities have an appointment schedule outside of visiting hours, companions may adjust their schedule to aid in taking measures for transportation.
Southern Oasis Homecare is pleased to offer companion care to your loved ones in our community. Isolation is a significant problem with seniors and can lead to depression, among other unwanted outcomes. Our agency offers regular companionship from caring professionals to help your loved ones maintain social interactions and feel the connection they need. Your loved one will enjoy spending time with our caregivers from our team.

Personal hygiene consistency is essential. Being able to bathe daily is critical to staying healthy. As we age, our immune system responds slower, which increases our risk of getting sick, especially if introduced to unhygienic conditions.

Light Housekeeping
Because of age, chronic illness, or disabilities, getting dressed can be a task for many seniors. Most adults with disabilities want to maintain their dignity by dressing independently. Personal caregivers are available to help and step in when needed.
